User Information
When you insert information on the AuthorConnect web site, you provide us with contact information, including your name and a valid email address. AuthorConnect uses this information to authenticate your identity, send you confirmation emails, or contact you if difficulty is encountered when processing your requests for services or products. We may also use this Information to send you updates about your entries, questionnaires to gauge your satisfaction with the various services provided by AuthorConnect and announcements of services or products that AuthorConnect is offering that may interest you. You will have the option to decline to receive announcements.

When you order products from the AuthorConnect Printed Marketing Materials section, such as business cards, bookmarks, posters, etc., you may be asked to provide personal and contact information that will be incorporated into the final product. AuthorConnect uses this Information to print and ship your order. AuthorConnect may save this information so that you may make any necessary changes, reorder quickly or more easily design a new product. AuthorConnect does not share this information or your custom products with anyone. When you order a custom product, AuthorConnect may use the information you provide to gather aggregate data for business purposes including publicity and marketing, but you will not be personally identifiable from that data.

You may be asked to provide information about your credit card type and number. AuthorConnect uses a credit card processing company and, in some cases, independent subcontractors to process and charge you for services or products. These companies are permitted to use this information only to process and charge you for services or products. They are not permitted to retain, store, share or use this information for any other purpose.

We may share your personal information internally among our affiliates or subsidiaries who will also be bound by these Privacy Policies. You can easily modify or permanently delete any information AuthorConnect has asked you to provide. Deletion, however, may change or delete entries or custom products you have submitted to AuthorConnect.

As with all electronic transactions, however, the security of any information cannot be absolutely guaranteed. All information submitted to AuthorConnect will remain accessible on our secured servers and be available only to you through your confidential User name and Password, and to others only with your permission or as otherwise provided in these Privacy Policies. Keep your password confidential at all times.

Sharing Aggregate Data
AuthorConnect may share aggregate data with advertisers and other entities. Your personal information will not be identifiable from this aggregate data.

You may use a link on AuthorConnect to reach another web site. The privacy policies of AuthorConnect do not apply to the other web site. Investigate the privacy policies of the other web site before providing personal or confidential information.

Other Privacy Provisions
Notwithstanding this Privacy Policy, AuthorConnect reserves the right to:

1. Disclose any materials or information that, in its sole discretion, are reasonably necessary to protect AuthorConnect or its business, including but not limited to complying with a court order, order from any administrative body or law enforcement officials, or as AuthorConnect deems necessary for civil litigation purposes. 2. Disclose any materials or information that, in its sole discretion, it deems necessary because you: (i) are in violation of the Terms of Use statement governing this site; (ii) have engaged, or are alleged to have engaged, in any activity purporting to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of another; or (iii) have engaged, or are alleged to have engaged, in any other illegal or tortious conduct or activity.
3. Disclose your personal information whenever required by any court, administrative body or law enforcement agency.
